Work conducted for Airbus Deutschland Gmbh and on its premises.
Missions:
- Realization of 3D mock-ups of systems at aircraft level, in particular the electrical systems designed in Germany (ATA 24 cabin part, 33, 44, 46, 92).
- Integration of those mock-ups into the aircraft structure and interior, taking into account safety, maintenance, space and any relevant requirements.
- Management (planning and content definition) of the System Installation Requirements Dossier (SIRD), the associated deliverable.
- Participation, as core team member, in process continuous improvement.
Result:
Contribution, from milestone 4 to milestone 5, i.e. from maturity A to maturity B of the SIRDs, to the A350 program and from the beginning of its reviewed version A350 XWB.
Developed competences:
- Extensive knowledge of Airbus’ “non specific design work” organization .
- Overview of aircraft systems, especially electrical systems.
- Teamwork, including “focal point” responsibilities.
- Around-DMU working experience.

e-Qual, IP over satellite links and intranet service provider, Chasseneuil-du-Poitou (86), France.
Mission:
Studying the TCP acceleration solution used by e-Qual over its satellite links and the other products that can be found on the market for upgrading considerations.
Result:
A comparative table summarizing the features of each product to help making the final decision and quotations from the pre-selected manufacturers.
Developed competences:
- Notions of network admin<istration, with servers running on Linux.
- Discovery of IP over satellite market, transport layer protocol over wireless links (TCP limitation, adaptation of TCP being studied and SCPS).

Hispano-Suiza, subsidiary of SAFRAN group, engine electrical harnesses design office, Réau (77), France.
Mission:
Designing a computer-aided design tool compliant with Hispano-Suiza designing rules.
Result:
A Visual Basic application to convince decision-makers of the feasibility and interest of such an application for all harnesses designs.
Developed competences:
- Visual Basic
- Knowledge of technical solutions for highly constrained harnesses.

Le Joint Français, subsidiary of Hutchinson, Saint Brieuc (22), France.
Mission:
Worker intern. Operator in charge of molding rubber joints.
Result and developed skills:
- First experience within an industrial production site.
- Understanding of worker expectations from observation of their working condition.
