Michael Kausch
Geschäftsführer vibrio. Kommunikationsmanagement Dr. Kausch GmbH
1993 through 2000 I was CEO and publisher of redmond’s technology publishing, a specialized publishing house I had founded myself. The publications of this publishing house include the renowned IT magazines, "Microsoft System Journal,“ "Office Journal und "IT Journal,“ as well as the professional information service "redmond’s inside." With some 100 training manuals, redmond’s counted among the leading providers of learnware and IT training material within the German-speaking countries. The publishing house was sold to Süddeutschen Verlag in 2000.
In 1995, I founded the "German Software Register GmbH," a title register for software brands. The GSR was sold in 1998.
I have gathered experience within the IT sector for 20 years. Now I am focused on strategic and conceptual management consultancy within the fields of market development and management, as well as coaching in the area of integrated enterprise and marketing communication.
Prior to the establishment of vibrio in October 1992, I was employed with Microsoft GmbH from 1987 through 1992, initially as press liaison and head of public relations. Later I served as division manager in charge of marketing communication in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europa. In this position I was responsible for public relations, advertisement, direct marketing, events and pre sales customer services.
In 1986, I recevied a PhD (Dr. rer. pol.) in communication science, sociology, economics and psychology. During and after my studies I worked as a journalist and researcher. In addition to numerous publications in the field of new technologies, I have authored two books on cultural and media theory.
